Ethics and privacy
Your participation in the online survey and any optional parts to this study will be kept confidential. All identifying information will be kept separate from your responses to this survey or any future surveys.
Any identifying information you provide to the research team will be kept confidential and will not be divulged to anyone outside the PAWS research team, except as required by law.
What do I have to do?
We will ask you to complete an online survey, which should take about 15–25 minutes. We may then ask you to complete at least two follow-up surveys every 12-18 months.
As well as the online survey, you will also be asked to participate in an optional linkage study. This will involve linking your data to health registries, such as the State and Territory Cancer Registries, Australian Cancer Database, State and Territory hospitalisation datasets, among others.

To be eligible to participate in PAWS you must be:

Aged 45 and over

Currently living in Australia

Gay, bisexual, or had sex with another man in the previous 12 months
